‘Forever Chemicals’ are polluting your water!

Dangerous chemicals known as PFAS (per and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) are all around us, from plastic bottles and takeout containers to disposable bowls and plates. And now they can be found in our rainwater. 

A recent study by the University of Stockholm has found alarming amounts of PFAS in our soil and rainwater — amounts that often exceed EPA limits. As contaminated rainwater falls, it threatens to pollute our drinking water with these dangerous ‘forever chemicals.’

Nicknamed ‘forever’ chemicals because of their ability to stick around in the environment and our bodies, PFAS is associated with a wide range of serious health effects – from developmental problems to cancer — and can accumulate in the body over time.

The FDA has a responsibility to stop the spread of dangerous ‘forever chemicals’ before it’s too late! Sign the PFAS Public Health Petition and demand swift action!
