While a slew of criminal probes have all been focused on Donald Trump himself — and for good reason — we cannot forget that his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his wife Ivanka Trump are also up to their eyeballs in dirty, bloodstained Saudi money.

"The grift from this family is breathtaking. It's breathtaking. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Kushner walk out of the White House, and months later get $2 billion from the Saudis," said GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie at a recent campaign stop. Christie is correct for possibly the first time in his life; it is truly breathtaking to see how much money Kushner has received from the authoritarian, terrorism-exporting and genocide-committing Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

What did he give the Saudis to earn this huge payday? Well, to start with, he is suspected of having given US intelligence to bin Salman on dissidents in the Saudi government, which was then used to carry out a brutal crackdown that included the torture and murder of Maj. Gen. Ali al-Qahtani. On top of that, Kushner personally advised bin Salman on how to "weather the storm" after Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi was murdered and dismembered at bin Salman's orders.

The whole affair is rotten from top to bottom. If House Republicans can hold hearings on Hunter Biden's struggles with drug abuse, Senate Democrats need to be spending some of their time investigating this deadly serious foreign policy payday scandal.
