Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s tenure has been a disgrace from the outset, but his behavior during the investigation and indictment of Donald Trump has really crossed the line. 

McCarthy is weaponizing our government on behalf of Donald Trump by ordering a retaliatory probe of the district attorney investigating Trump, Alvin Bragg, and further threatened that the House would hold “his unprecedented abuse of power to account.” Rep. Schiff rightfully described McCarthy as behaving like a “surrogate criminal defense team” for Trump.

Democrats have an inspiring up-and-coming leader in John Burrows ready to take McCarthy’s seat in 2024 — but we can’t just sit back and wait as McCarthy uses the power of the government as Trump’s personal bully squad!
