Demand women get equal pay for equal work!

It is a travesty that in the year 2022, American women still don’t make as much money as their male counterparts do. Despite two major Congressional bills, the pay gap is still as bad as it was thirty years ago — and what little progress there has been is mostly due to the stagnation of men’s wages, not the growth of women’s.

On average, women were paid 21% less than men in 2021, and it’s even worse for women of color. At the current rate of progress, the gender pay gap will not close until 2111. That’s beyond unacceptable.

Women’s voices, conversations and perspectives matter now more than ever — and as abortion rights are rolled back across the nation, our Congressional leaders need to fight harder than ever to make sure the nation knows that women’s equality is not negotiable and that it is their right to stand on equal ground as men.
