The smoke hadn’t even cleared over Caracas before Trump was already plotting his next act of imperial aggression, this time against a close ally.

“We need Greenland from the standpoint of national security,” Trump said Sunday on Air Force One after the U.S. strike on Venezuela. The Danish prime minister responded furiously, threatening to invoke Article 5 of the NATO treaty if Trump tried to annex Greenland. This would tear NATO apart and destroy the balance of global power as we know it, with catastrophic consequences.

Stephen Miller doubled down on these ambitions in an interview, declaring that Greenland rightfully belonged to the US by virtue of military strength. “We live in a world, in the real world that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power,” he said. “These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.”

This is fascist nonsense. Under Trump and Miller, the United States is becoming a rogue state that is a major threat to global peace and stability. It needs to end NOW.
