Terrifying new reports from Axios claim that the Trump administration is close to declaring war on Iran, and the war would be “a massive, weeks-long campaign that would look more like full-fledged war than last month's pinpoint operation in Venezuela.”

Observers on social media have noted huge amounts of US military assets, especially fighter jets and refueling tankers, moving into position in the Middle East.

Such a war would be illegal and a geopolitical disaster for everybody involved. It would surely plunge the Middle East into chaos, with spiraling destructive consequnces that could last for decades.

We’ve seen this movie before, with the illegal Republican war against Iraq. It led to the deaths of over a million people, the rise of ISIS, and an entire generation of Iraqi kids that have never known peace. We cannot allow this to happen again.
